Committed to
sustainability

At STACBOND we want a sustainable present and future, so we invest in the circularity of our resources. We achieve this thanks to low emission raw materials with which we manufacture STACBOND ECOGREEN panels; we also have our own recycling plant that allows us to re-incorporate the waste we produce back into the manufacturing process, and we offer our customers a service of collection and recycling of aluminium composite panel scraps.

We meet sustainable development goals

STACBOND’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations for the period 2015-2030, which reflect the global goals to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.

The main SDGs we are contributing to are those related to gender equality, energy efficiency measures, job creation and economic growth in low-population areas, industrial innovation, recycling and contribution to the energy renewal of the building stock.

Composite Panel Recycling Service
available to our customers

In 2022, a composite panel collection and recycling system was implemented at our production centre in El Bierzo. With this new Recycling Service we seek to give a new use to the raw materials we use, avoiding unnecessary waste. In addition, our customers can benefit from this system, so that they have a suitable final destination for their waste.

STACBOND recycles, separates and reuses the components of the aluminium composite panel. Both the core and aluminium are re-introduced into the production process, thus closing the product life cycle.

We also have a zero waste certificate for the manufacture, storage and machining of composite material in accordance with the requirements of the Bureau Veritas certification standard.

STACBOND ECOGREEN

Minimal carbon footprint. Maximum architectural performance.

Manufactured using certified low-emission aluminum coils and containing more than 95% recycled aluminum, STACBOND ECOGREEN represents a new generation of composite panels designed for more sustainable architecture.

With a certified carbon footprint of just 9.8 kg CO₂ eq/m², verified through an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), STACBOND ECOGREEN combines sustainability, innovation, and high technical performance, while maintaining the same reliability, durability, and design freedom as the rest of the STACBOND range.

A solution designed for projects looking to reduce their environmental impact without compromising on performance, aesthetics, or safety.

Environmental product certifications

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) according to EN ISO 14025:2010 and EN 15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021, allows the sustainability of construction products and services to be qualified. This is an objective method of quantifying the environmental impact of product manufacturing processes and requires independent verification of data by third parties.
